The League of Friends of Glangwili Hospital, successfully completed their first tractor run on Saturday 9th August, raising monies for Glangwili Hospital. The event was supported by 26 tractors and their drivers, who took to the countryside of Carmarthen on a 25 mile run from Carmarthen Mart, initially heading north of Johnstown to Henfwylch Road, before passing through Llangynin, Llanybri, Llanstephan, Llangain and Johnstown, returning to the Mart for a well deserved lunch.
The event was supported by many local businesses with Guest speaker Meirion Owens judging and presenting the best two historic tractors.

Simon Jenkins event organiser for the League of Friends said ‘we are extremely grateful for all the sponsors for their generous contributions, volunteers on the day and to the tractor drivers who commit so much time and effort to attending such events, supporting Organisations such as ours raising monies for so many worthy Charities’.
The event raised a total of £2,442.05 with all monies going to Glangwili Hospital.
