Over the last 50 years the League of Friends has supported the work of Glangwili Hospital through donating items that hospital staff tell us are needed to improve the care of patients.
We do this through the generous donations of members of the public, including bereaved families, who have chosen us to receive money in lieu of flowers on someone’s death and also from legacies.
All these donations are important no matter how small.
Through these donations we have purchased many large pieces of equipment to aid in diagnosis and surgery as well as refurbishing hospital accommodation:

Since 1970, we have also purchased every year Christmas gifts for everyone in the hospital on Christmas Day. On average the amount paid for those gifts totals £1000 therefore another £50,000 has been added to the total.
Between 1971 and 2021 the total provided by the League of Friends is
£1,855,010
We are extremely grateful to you all.
